HumAIn Dialogues

We are a new subcommunity of Nexus, a philosophical debate group: 'Creative Intent'. This initiative has been driven by the enthusiasm of esteemed Nexus members. Through engaging debate sessions, the group will delve into diverse themes, including contemporary AI systems, the essence of humanity, and existential inquiries.
If these subjects resonate with you, you're in for a treat.

Creativity is considered to be one of the driving forces of human development. Recent topic of discussion is about whether the creativity is reserved for humans alone; Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT have shown to be able to produce results that could be perceived as creative as well.

However, AI agents lack the inherent drive, or intent, to create and could thus simply be considered as functions that rely on human inputs. Based on this, we named the new philosophical discussion group as "HumAIn Dialogues" to reflect on contemporary AI systems, but also on what makes us human, amongst other subjects.

HumAIn Dialogues investigates through discussions the unique attributes of human thought in the age of AI.

On a regular basis HumAIn Dialogues will organize debate events on various topics that are accessible to everybody.
