RESEARCH PROFILE
Andries van Beek is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒), working in the department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) within the Operations, Planning, Accounting & Control (OPAC) group. His specialization as a researcher is game theory, often applied in the context of operations research problems. He is working on the ROLIAC project (https://roliac.eu/). Specifically, he uses mathematical models inspired by game theory to analyze how different nations can collaborate on the use of additive manufacturing in their military supply chains.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Andries van Beek studied and obtained a PhD at Tilburg University. He holds a BSc in Econometrics and Operations Research, a MSc in Business Analytics and Operations Research, and a Research Master in Operations Research. He started as a PhD in Operations Research in September 2019 under the supervision of Peter Borm, Herbert Hamers, and Marieke Quant. During his PhD, he also worked as a Lecturer for two years (0.5fte). He defended his dissertation titled "Solutions in multi-actor projects with collaboration and strategic incentives" in October 2023 and joined the 果冻传媒 in that same month.
