HaptiGuide is a smart haptic feedback ring designed to enhance independent navigation for individuals with sensory impairments. Utilizing Liquid Crystal Oligomer Network (LCON) actuators, the ring generates intuitive tactile cues鈥攕queeze, shear, and vibration鈥攖ranslating real-time navigation data from a smartphone into directional guidance. This compact, discreet, and energy-efficient device offers a natural alternative to traditional assistive tools, improving mobility, confidence, and social integration. The project aims to develop a functional demonstrator (TRL 5) within one year, paving the way for commercialization and broader applications in assistive technology and human-computer interaction.
