Our mission
My mission is to design and develop useful and meaningful products that solve real and specific problems within healthcare, for people and together with people. I aim to achieve that by focusing on topics such as interaction and experience within medical healthcare.
Our challenge
Currently, it is not possible to measure the iodine levels of patients in a short time and at the location of treatment. Urine samples are currently sent to a laboratory, which takes several weeks to analyse, resulting in delays in receiving the test results. My challenge is to think of a solution to measure and test people's iodine levels more quickly and efficiently at the treatment location to enhance efficiency and minimise waiting time for test results.
Our solution
My solution, called My-Odine, is a device that measures the iodine content in samples. This is accomplished by modifying the sample through the addition of reagents and measuring the change in colour intensity after modification. The collected data of the measurement is then processed and converted into an indication of the amount of iodine present in the sample.
"To investigate the true potential of this project, by looking at the feasibility and the financial and legal aspects. But also through collaboration with industry experts to seek feedback and insights."
