Our mission
The traditional way of measuring blood pressure with a cuff is useful but inconvenient, and it doesn鈥檛 allow for continuous monitoring. Our new method uses pulse transit time technology to monitor blood pressure continuously and non-intrusively, without needing a cuff, and combines this with ECG to catch serious issues like irregular heartbeats.
Our challenge
Imagine a world where we could save millions of lives by catching serious diseases early. Heart disease, diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer, known as the "Four Horsemen of Disease鈥, are the top causes of death globally. Sadly, many people don't know they have these conditions until it鈥檚 too late. In fact, 46% of adults with high blood pressure, a major risk factor for these diseases, aren鈥檛 even aware of it.
Our solution
Our team is developing a solution to change this. We're creating a wearable device that tracks vital signs like blood pressure, heart activity (ECG), or blood sugar levels, aiming to detect health issues early and prevent them. This device will give a full picture of someone鈥檚 health by monitoring key indicators in real-time. By spotting potential problems early, we can help people take action before it鈥檚 too late.
We believe this technology could be a game-changer for preventive healthcare, helping to prevent many deaths from undiagnosed heart conditions.
