RESEARCH PROFILE
Arviandy Aribowo works as a postdoctoral researcher under the DREAM (Dynamic Regulation of photosynthEsis in light-Acclimated organisMs) project (). He is affiliated with the Control Systems section within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. His current research interests are modeling and optimization of photosynthesis process and drilling mechanics.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Arviandy Aribowo (born in 1985, in Indonesia) obtained his BSc degree in Engineering Physics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia, in 2007. He also received his MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Houston, Texas, USA, in 2015, under the support of the Fulbright Scholarship Program (from IIE - US Department of State). He obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2024 and was affiliated with the Dynamics and Control section. His PhD research was focused on modelling and analysis of drilling systems equipped with a downhole regulator tool and under the support of the Indonesian Endowment Fund for 果冻传媒 (LPDP) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Norwegian company - Tomax AS.
Prior to starting his PhD research in 果冻传媒, from 2010 - 2016 he worked in the area of instrumentation and automation systems for offshore processing facilities of oil-gas exploration and production companies (ConocoPhillips, MedcoEnergi), located in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia. From 2008 - 2010, he worked in universities located in Indonesia and Singapore as a research assistant/engineer.
