Gerben Hoogendoorn

RESEARCH PROFILE

Gerben Hoogendoorn is an external Doctoral Candidate at the Dynamics and Control group of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Eindhoven University of Technology (¹û¶³´«Ã½) from Broshuis BV. His research focuses on tire road contact and steering systems for different axle types (such as fixed or steering axles) of trailers used in the exceptional transport industry. During this project, Gerben is supervised by Dr. Ir. Igo Besselink.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Gerben Hoogendoorn received his BSc in Mechanical Engineering with Honours Programme from Delft University of Technology in 2018. Following, he received his MSc cum laude in Mechanical Engineering, track: Transport Engineering and Technology from the same university in 2020. During his studies, he worked with several companies for different course projects. His MSc thesis was titled: ‘Design in principle for flexible fully assembled wind turbine installation’ in which he designed a new method to install fully assembled wind turbines offshore with a new crane vessel concept. The research of the thesis was published in the International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics.
