RESEARCH PROFILE

Juan Escarate is a Doctoral Candidate working in the group Electromechanics and Power Electronics (EPE) in the Electrical Engineering department at Eindhoven University of Technology (¹û¶³´«Ã½). He is currently developing advanced control system with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). His research focuses on developing AI-based control strategies, with an emphasis on reinforcement learning, to optimize the operation of electrical motor drives. This work aims to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and adaptability of motor drive systems under dynamic operating conditions.

A key aspect of Juan Escarate’s research involves applying reinforcement learning techniques to achieve real-time optimal control, enabling electrical motors to operate at peak performance while reducing energy consumption. Additionally, he explores the use of FPGA programming to implement and accelerate computationally intensive AI algorithms for high-speed control applications. By bridging theoretical AI approaches with practical implementation, his work contributes to advancing modern industrial systems.

His broader research interests include machine learning for control systems, optimal control methodologies, and energy-efficient design of electrical machines. Juan Escarate is dedicated to advancing intelligent and sustainable solutions for the future of electrical motor technology.
