Neven Gentil
Department / Institute

RESEARCH PROFILE
Neven Gentil is a PhD student in the NanoComputing Lab, led by Aida Todri-Sanial, and collaborates closely with both the experimental and theoretical groups of the Qubit Lab. He is involved in the KAT-1 project — a neutral-atoms-based quantum computer (NAQC) initiative — that aims to deliver the first publicly accessible European quantum computer. His primary objective is to develop a compilation framework that optimizes and translates quantum algorithms into platform-specific instructions, particularly for the one being designed at ¹û¶³´«Ã½.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Neven received his Bachelor's degree in Physics from Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier in France in 2022. He obtained his Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Stockholm University in 2024, specializing in Quantum Optics. He began his PhD studies at Eindhoven University of Technology in January 2025. His main interests include quantum computing, quantum optimal control, graph-based optimization techniques, and quantum information theory.
