Sicheng Gong received B.Eng. in EE, B.A. in French from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, M.Sc. in EE from Technical University of Denmark, and Ph.D. from Eindhoven University of Technology. Now he continues as a university researcher, focusing on the grid feasibility studies with interdisciplinary techniques.

As a part of NEON (New Energy Outlook of the Netherlands), his previous Ph.D. project aimed at investigating the impacts of emerging MV fast-chargers on conventional electrical grids, and then exploring potential strategies to offer grid support under the background of disruptive power electronics and battery technology. The research involved electricity grid opeartion and management, power electronics modeling, and vehicle charger controlling.
