RESEARCH PROFILE
Marrit Tholen is currently a doctoral candidate in the Molecluar Biosensing for diagnostics (MBx) group. Her research focuses on the development of several probes to characterize nanoparticles using super-resolution microscopy techniques.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Marrit Tholen obtained her BSc in Medical Sciences and Technology at the Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒) in 2017. She stayed in Eindhoven and obtained her MSc in Biomedical Engineering in 2019. As part of her master's degree, she performed a 4 month internship at the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, working in the group of Prof. S.C.G. Leeuwenburgh on the development of gelatin colloidal gels. For her master thesis, she worked in the group of prof. J.C.M. van Hest, and developed targeting nanoparticles for mucosal vaccines.
